soeben erreichte uns das nachfolgende Bulletin der HP SupportLine.Wir
geben diese Informationen unveraendert an Sie weiter.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass dies ein Update des Advisories ist, das die
folgenden Aenderungen betrifft:

  Mit diesem Update gibt HP bekannt, das nur PowerManager Versionen vor
  4.2.10 betroffen sind, und stellt eine korrigierte Version bereit.

CVE-2009-2685 - Buffer Overflow im Management Server des HP Power

  Der Web-basierte Managment Server des HP Power Managers ueberprueft in
  der Login Form die Laenge des Login Parameters nicht, wodurch sich ein
  Buffer Overflow ausloesen laesst. Entfernte Angreifer koennen diese
  Schwachstelle dazu ausnutzen, beliebigen Code mit SYSTEM Rechten auf
  dem betroffenen System auszufuehren.

Betroffen sind die folgenden Software Pakete und Plattformen:

  HP Power Manager vor Version 4.2.10
